As part of the Teasdale-Corti Team Grant being co-led by Dr. Allen Finley, Dr. Wimonrat Sriraj, Dr. Darunee  Jongudomkarn, and Kesanee Boonyawatanangkool, all from Khon Kaen, Thailand, are visiting the Centre for Pediatric Pain Research until June 11th.  During their time in Halifax they will be observing the IWK Health Centre’s Complex Pain Clinic, meeting with fellow researchers, visiting different departments at the health centre, and a little sight seeing too.

After their visit to Halifax, Dr. Darunee Jongudomkarn will return to Khon Kaen while Dr. Wimonrat Sriraj and Kesanee Boonyawatanangkool will travel on to Minneapolis, Minnesota to take part in the Pediatric Pain Masters Class put on by the Children’s Institute for Pain and Palliative Care.  Their visit is part of a month long short course, an integral capacity building component of the project “Pediatric Pain Management in Urban and Rural Thailand”.  To learn more about the project and our researchers, please visit www.pediatricpainresearch.ca
