The Centre for Pediatric Pain Research is happy to be celebrating the 2014 National Pain Awareness Week with the Canadian Pain Coalition!

We’re kicking off raising awareness about children’s pain with a free, public session for parents on how to prepare your kids for medical procedures, appointments, and surgeries on Monday evening (7:00pm) at the IWK Health Centre. Join Dr. Christine Chambers and clinical Psychology graduate students, Kathryn Birnie and Meghan Schinkel for an informative talk and practical advice for parents.

Attend this “Psychology For You” session in person at the Parker Reception room (IWK) or through telehealth: http://www.iwk.nshealth.ca/news#/news/it-doesn’t-have-hurt-helping-children-prepare-medical-procedures-appointments-and-surgeries

Join us tonight – everyone is welcome!npaw_2014_en
