Blog: New Vaccination Pain Guidelines Published

Vaccinations are the most common source of children’s pain in health care and recently, a group of Canadian experts in immunization, pediatrics, pain, education and other related areas developed a new set of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines to help parents and health-care providers reduce the pain of childhood immunization.
The group was headed by Dr. Anna Taddio at the University of Toronto and included the Centre for Pediatric Pain Research’s Dr. Christine Chambers, as well as many other healthcare experts from the IWK Health Centre.
These guidelines were recently published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal:
