Congratulations to Mark Petter on the successful defense of his PhD dissertation today titled: “An Experimental Investigation Into the Effects of Mindful Attention and Trait Mindfulness on Adolescent Pain”. Mark is co-supervised by Drs. Christine Chamber and Pat McGrath.
The external examiner was Dr. Lindsey Cohen from Georgia State University. Special thanks also go to committee members Dr. Ray Klein (Dalhousie) and Dr. Bruce Dick (University of Alberta).
As part of his visit to Halifax, Dr. Cohen will be giving a presentation tomorrow (Thursday) titled: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Pediatric Pain from 4-5 pm in the Parker Reception Room at the IWK.
Mark will begin his residency in clinical psychology at the London Health Science Centre on Sept. 1st.
