Early Registration (by June 15th) and Call for Abstracts (due March 15th) now OPEN – 8thInternational Forum on Pediatric Pain
Come to Nova Scotia, Canada for the 8th International Forum of Pediatric Pain to be held on October 13-16th, 2011. IFPP is a biennial series of meetings focusing on cutting edge research and clinical practice in the area of pediatric pain. The theme of the next IFPP is: New Concepts in Complex and Recurrent Pain.
We have an impressive line-up of speakers on topics ranging from: the transition from acute to chronic pain, fear avoidance models and chronic pain, complex cases in chronic pain, and updates on chronic pain conditions in children such as recurrent abdominal pain, headache, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and complex regional pain syndrome. Be sure to register early! Registration is limited to 150 participants and previous meetings have sold out! Discounted early registration prices are available until June 15, 2011, and then full prices will be applied.
The abstract submission deadline is March 15, 2011 – abstracts can be uploaded directly using our web site. Submission of abstracts for poster presentation must relate to pain in children, and can be on a work in progress, original data or theory, previously published data or theory, a topical review, or a clinical case. The abstract should consist of no more than 300 words and follow the outline below (as appropriate): Title; Authors; Affiliations; Authors’ addresses; Objective; Design; Setting; Participants; Procedures; Measures; Results; Conclusions; References; Citation (if previously published).Abstracts must be in PDF, Microsoft Word, or Rich Text Format and text should be no smaller than 12 point font. Abstracts will not be published, so presentation does not preclude submission to another meeting before or after IFPP. Authors will be emailed notification of acceptance of their posters by April 15, 2011.
